Admin reply: You don't normally require planning permission to block up an opening though it is always worth checking with your local council as there can be regional variations and particulars which may apply depending on your circumstances. ...Mathew.
Comments: Outstanding website, saved myself a fortune when my hyundai coupe manifold had a crack in it and when my blowers weren't blowing hot air. Not been mechanically minded i took it to a garage. The garage quoted me £700, i spent £3 on some exhaust fixing paste which sealed the crack up perfectly and £1 on some blue tak to hold the temperature control lever in place. The clear detailed drawings helped me remove the console panels, locate the heater matrix and not kill the car in the process. Nice one.
Comments: Interesting site - esp the article on changing the diaphragm on a Worcester Bosch Boiler. I paid a plumber £258 yesterday (£102 for part+VAT+labour) to change mine - of course he supplied a whole new valve - such a waste when you see a lovely big brass valve that is in perfect condition all replaced for the sake of a perished rubber diaphragm. But I was in no position to argue that he just replaced the rubber bit - we were left with no hot water from Xmas Eve til yesterday (30th Dec) so we were desperate!!!
Comments: Wonderful site, all the information I needed and lots extra. I have just bought one of these cars and all the information is so useful. Cheers. :)
